Seeking Motivation and Innovation

This module refers to the importance of motives and innovation in the development of
entrepreneurship. More specifically, the importance of motives lies in encouraging entrepreneurs
to start and continue their work efforts and at the same time motivating all stakeholders.
It is acknowledged that the factors that influence entrepreneurship, given the fact that each
entrepreneur is a different person with different needs, including having more freedom in
entrepreneurial activities, pursuing higher income, being able to increase influence in many aspects
of work, and the management and creativity at work.
There are 5 practical tips for gaining motivation, which can be summarized as follows: limiting
contact with negative and toxic people, spending more time with people that urge self-
improvement, doing positive things, setting priorities, and addressing any possible issues in a
                predetermined order.
In addition, this module includes information about what an entrepreneur needs to do in order to
be loyal and focused on his business project despite any potential problems that may arise. In
particular, the entrepreneur should be able to understand and analyze anything that could happen,
adapt to the demands and situations that may arise, deal with the potential challenges, and be
committed to his/her original plan. It is also suggested to create an empathy map in order to gain
a deeper understanding of motivation and to gather more information on potential customers.
Finally, in terms of innovation, it is important for an entrepreneur to identify market needs and
gaps. Innovation in entrepreneurship can be achieved through mash-up innovation (collaborative
brainstorming based on a combination of different elements), collaborative development of ideas
and design, and the creation of a four-step approach: checking key information, putting the initial
design on paper, considering multiple options, and creating a detailed solution. In addition, the
design thinking technique is also suggested in the case of needs and problems that are already
                known.
